Assignment 3
ScenarioDigital Myths create animated stories for primary school children, ages 5 to 11. Some are based on classic fairy tales or nursery rhymes, others are new - written especially for the purpose of the animation. The aim is to encourage reading, educate about creative writing and, most importantly, entertain.
All the stories are subtitled, approximately five to ten minutes in length and appropriate for the specific age group. They are usually published on CDs, which are purchased by schools, but the company has recently begun to set up a website to distribute their animations. Digital Myths have been so impressed with you that the boss has asked you to join their main animation team. Your first assignment is to create a short demonstration piece to advertise the type of work the company does. This should be an animated story with subtitles but does not need to be a complete story, being just one or two minutes in length. The narrative can be a classic fairy tale or nursery rhyme, or a new original story. |
